Artist Bio:
Hi, I’m Abbey! I’m a filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist who loves telling real, honest stories. I make all kinds of stuff — short films (both narrative and experimental), creative portraits, music videos, and some commercial work too. My films have played at over 60 festivals worldwide, as well as some museum and gallery settings.
I grew up moving around a lot — Illinois, Texas, Singapore, the Pacific Northwest — so I think that shaped who I am and how I see things. As an adult, I’ve lived in New York and L.A., shooting video projects for brands like Adidas, Calvin Klein, Microsoft, and Dazed and Confused magazine. I’ve filmed at New York Fashion Week, edited videos of Ariana Grande and Janelle Monáe, and helped direct a short film that screened at the White House Student Film Festival during the Obama administration.
After taking time to focus on my mental health, I’m reconnecting with what lights me up: making work that’s vulnerable, visually striking, and centering mental health awareness.
Thank you for being here and for taking the time to explore my work. Feel free to reach out — I’m always open to collaboration!
